  1. Hello to everyone!

  3. I am a new user to this list! I just got internet access a couple of
  4. weeks ago, and it took me this long to find an AMOS list :)
  5.  
  6. Anyway, I am 15 years old, I come from New Zealand, and I have been
  7. programming in AMOS for about 4 years. I have been learning assembler
  8. for about 3 months.
  9.  
  10. So basically, I write my programs in AMOS, then convert whatever I can
  11. to assembler, and use it as `extensions', which speeds things up.
  12.  
  13. I have been working for a very long time on `Map Editors', and have
  14. begun written very nice ones, because of all my experience! I use my
  15. own tile pasting routines (a little faster than the Turbo Paste ones)
  16. and I use the CPU for all operations (it is faster than the blitter 
  17. for almost anything).

  19. Anyway! I read an old (about March, I think) AMOS list on a CD-ROM, and
  20. discovered some people talking about `fast reducing operations' that 
  21. acted like Zoom. Well, I can code one just for you if you want! Mail me
  22. and tell me what you need!

  24. I am writing a WarCraft-2 game (hence the tile-pasting and reducing) and
  25. I wish to have an Interlaced option, for greater detail. However, AMOS
  26. does not seem to interlace the screens properly on my system!
  27. (A3000, OS 3.1, 2mb Chip, 4mb Fast) Does anyone know why, and how to get
  28. around it? I would be most appreciative!
